1. VERY HIGH POWER CONSTANT-VOLTAGE DRYER
Beside the production of the above mentioned
systems, generators, tuners and applicators, High Frequency Design Andalucia has
studied the possibilities of constructing a very large RF AIR dryer used to dry
harvested goods like Cotton or Rice. This dryer uses electrical energy, but has
the advantage that this energy is used for the evaporation of the water with an
increased efficiency. This may balance the increased cost of the electrical
energy versus the conventional heat generated by the burning of gas or oil or
even decrease total cost. Also the environmental advantages and smell in the
vicinity are an advantage. The generator can be designed for a power beyond 1
MegaWatt. The generator does not
need any load tuning and RF filtering. This decreases cost considerably and
increases reliability. We could simplify the complete installation to a mere
aluminium box with a tube by combining the applicator with the generator inside
a waveguide. This technology is patented.
2. VACUUM DRYER
A vacuum dryer using a very simple gravity based
mixer and RF or Microwave evaporation energy source is currently in design. The
demonstration model that will be based in the laboratory of High Frequency
Design Andalucia used for tests and demonstrations will have a capacity of
approx. 150 litres. Design drivers
for this dryer are:
low cost, low temperature drying, suitable for RF
or Microwave energy, High Power to Volume ratio.

RF
MAGNETIC HEATER
At this moment a RF manually tuned magnetic heater
is available for experiments of uniform heating of materials. This applicator
already performed many experiments and tests. A new version of an automatically
tuned applicator at 13.56 Mhz will be produced. Also this applicator will be
available for tests and experiments in the laboratory of High Frequency Design
Andalucia S.L.
The applicator can heat fluid materials that are
slightly to strongly conducting (salted and acid liquids like sauces and many
other liquids in the food and chemical industry). A conducting liquid can not be
heated well with dielectric technologies.
Successful experiments have been conducted with our
magnetic heaters for the synthesis of zeolite crystals on Earth and in Space.
Also magnetic heaters have been constructed for thermal initialisation of
chemical processes.
4. PLASMA PET BOTTLE STERILIZATOR
Some experiments have been conducted to extend Air
plasma inside a PET bottle for sterilisation. Using this technology, one
generator delivering RF pulses of approx. 5 mSec. at a power level of 50 kWatt
can be used to sterilise 5 bottles per second, without the use of steam or
gasses, with a low energy consumption. In near future more design effort will be
put in this technology in order to get a demonstration set-up in our laboratory.
